My grandpa bought this model in South america in 1953 almost 0 miles but was black, I was 3 years old at that time. I learn to drive on the lap of my grandpa when I was around 6 years old.This car has a lot a good memories. I remember one time the car was stolen and the guys that they took the car abandon the car because the gasolina tank was empty and they never imagined that the openig to fill up the tank was hide inside the back ligths and for that reason grandpa was able to see the car back very soon.

You actually don't have to fiddle with the gear shift--just put it in Dr and step on the gas.

No, I am familiar with it, visited many times when it was open. I am a broker. I've done a lot of work with a dealership up the road from the old Antique Mall, Texas Classic Cars of Dallas. Good price on the Caddy, I've driven it, great car.

@Google User If you check minute 2.25 you can see only 2 pedals, probably he was changing from L to D for some reason, or D to L.. ( D= drive, L = low)

My grandpa was doing the same, especially going up the hills in L for more power. In D the engine was doing a funny noise that I still remember today.

I remember one time the transmission was broken and to send the parts from USA to South america took around 6 months Finally was fixed in a GM dealer.
