Chrysler's Slant 6 is probably the greatest inline if not the greatest engine of all time. I drive a BMW with a twin turbo straight 6, and I still drool over the old Mopar /6's.

My friend had one like that when we were young 50 some years ago. Had a split manifold with 3 cylinders sound coming from 2 straight pipes with big end tail pieces.! Beautiful sound.! Folks complained of their windows rattling when he went by. My 55 Ford sounded good too.! Straight pipes 272 V-8.
