The egg crate grille, and the same egg crate design carried over to the dash center, is so elegant. And the Art Deco design of the full dash, is quite stunning!

This model is as close as you can get to a rolling work of art. Absolutely amazing! One could spend days viewing all the minute details. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again; even the details have details. Someone just stated that this car was ahead of its time, and how true that is! Thanks Lou, Claude, and the assistant for a beautiful presentation!!

Wow what a car! Loved the color so rich and perfect looking with the wood trim. The Town and Country Chrysler used for a very long time through the years of their cars. This car is just a huge piece of automotive history. Loved that old straight eight engine boy it sure sounded good. And that interior was just superb in this car with the crystal knobs and such. So much early innovation in this vehicle. Boy what a car and I bet it rode nice and heavy and smooth. Just a outstanding unit all the way around and a great owner too! Wow! Another wonderful segment Lou! When people think of classic Chryslers, they often think of the Town and Country (and the Airflow). You do a great job of presenting such a variety of cars, from different eras. I actually saw a 1978 Chrysler Town and Country wagon on the road last Fall, the version that was based upon the Aspen/Volare, and the faux wood panelling truly looks so out-of-place among modern cars!

Hi, Lou! This has to be one of the most perfect examples from an era of a long-lost craft. It's absolutely exquisite with the Scotch plaid interior and all the original woodwork. The Town & Country name went on to grace some of the most luxurious station wagons, and later minivans, in the industry. (It was a wagon in 1941 and 1942 and would be again starting in 1950.) And look how long it took the rest of the industry to see what smart ideas the dash-controlled gas cap opener and the center stop light at the rear were. The feds began requiring the stop lights with the 1986 model year. This one's at home anywhere, in town, country or city! Many thanks to you and Claude for spotlighting this extra-special automobile.

Hard to believe the same company that made dodge neons, and vans, made it, quite the beast, very elegant, reminds me of a hunting lodge, detailing of knobs switching outstanding, wood work incredible, how the heck would you find one like this Lou? Tombstone taillights, wonder what it cost back in the day Lou? Guy seems genuinely giddy about ownership and who wouldn’t be!

Hi Ron, Claude really loves this car :-) To answer your questions, 1) How the heck would you find this one? This one, Claude called me to stop by and take a look at it. 2) What did it cost? I have no idea. Thanks for viewing, and sharing, Lou

I believe that was the last year for real teak, oak and ash wood being used on the TC. These cars were the flagship of Chrysler of that time, ment to rival anything GM and Ford put out. Other than the Imperial, they were the most expensive Chrysler you could get. The interiors came in that color as well as red plaid. Hot Rodders in the early 50s used this engine in modified street cars because it made great torque at super low rpm. This is a real time capsule!

Hi Lou! I noticed that most of the ADS are at the end of your presentations. There's nothing before the show. And so I ended up watching the middle part and 2 ads at every end, and each ad has a timer, and I assumed that's the one you are getting credit for.
@loucostabile3 жыл бұрын
Hi Vern, Thank you! I make sure there are no ads in the middle so you can just enjoy the presentation. Lou

That is two and a half tons of rolling art. Would be interesting to know how the T&C ranked against the Imperial in the corporate hierarchy.
