1948 GMC TDH-3610: The Rosa Parks Bus

The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan is the home of this 1948 TDH-3610 "Old Look" GMC bus. How it went from the Rosa Parks event in 1955 to the Henry Ford Museum in 2003 is an interesting story. I'll do my best to share that tale along with the video I took of the bus in February 2020.

I wonder if someone knew the exact seat Rosa Parks refused to get up from for the white passenger?

They do but I can't remember which one it is. I believe it's not the one shown in the picture of her sitting in the bus. That was a staged photo for the paper after the event.

The motor is there but it wasn't clear from the exhibit if she worked.
