Old Indian motorcycles never die as this one demonstrates. Brought back to life after 40 years at Kiwi Motorcycles Riverside California 2010, this 1948 classic ticks over like a vintage clock. www.kiwiindian.com

I know there are some old purists out there that love these old barn finds and would like to see left alone, but this bike is a true vintage classic and it just looks sad in this condition! This true American beauty deserves a complete period correct restoration, so that many more generations can appreciate a true classic like this! We need to keep this hobby alive and pass it on to the younger generations so they can appreciate them too! Old Indians never die!!!

I sold mine after getting it running as found was a real basket case-to a guy in Lexington-end of 60's spring time--135.00-I bought a 56-354 dual quad Hemi out of a funeral car in New Bedford-redid that and bought motor mounts from JC whitney for my 55 Nomad--before I was 16--Lost breaks going Rt 2 into Allston-Speedway Customs and ended up on a Belmont cops from lawn--Those were the days--!!

What could be cooler? It's a great feeling to see something so old come out of retirement- recently saved a 1925 Delco 32v lighting plant from the scrapyard, it fired up that easy too! Exposed valves and rockers are the oldest old school cool to watch.

903strikerunit Yes sir. Foot clutch hand shift. These had a left hand throttle and a right hand timing. These old bikes are amazing pieces of motorcycle history. Take care! ^^
@quakermaas10 жыл бұрын
deathbringer0520 Think on this bike it is right throttle and left timing, you can see him adjust the timing(with left, watch for the distributor move) and then rev the engine (with right) at 1:57 Don't know enough about the bike to know if it came that way or has been swapped around, as some people like that way.
