I really appreciate this video. I got a cheep Chinese carb for my 51 Super A because the old carter was just poring out fuel, and now I am having same governor issues. Im going to get a Zenith for it.

I am helping out a old farmer get some of his old stuff going so he can sell them off, , basically was a car mechanic, he has the A which I am working on now( got to fix the steering worm gear or whatever is in the top front,), just did a tune-up on a 4020, and 3 older smaller farm-alls, 1 is a 6 volt and an Allis chalmers, thanks for the great video

We posted a video of a install on our super A. and it works really well. Possibly we got lucky? No problems so far. We bought two more and havent tried them yet.

3116s is my go to for the letter series. No matter what. OEM is all ways the way to go if you can.

What a great job with your tractor. Did you paint the inside of the carb? How big is your sand blaster. I have a carb that needs to be rebuilt. I do not have one. If I got one it would be cheep.

Thank you! I only painted the outside, painting the inside could cause small pieces to flake and clog the jets. As far as blast cabinet, mines a skat blast cabinet. Honestly for carbs a small table top one works fine or even the hand held units from harbor freight. If you are gonna leave raw use glass beads if your gonna paint use a med grit media.

I'll never buy another one. I run 386 in 6 cylinder and 3116 on 4 cylinder...but definitely 3116 if running a magneto

Where did you get your carburetor kit from? I ordered one. My Choke shaft is upside down. Instead of pushing the lever down it must go up with it. The lever is 180 degrees out. Please help me get the weight kit.

I ordered one from Amazon that was terrible. I ordered the one shown from Steiners and to this day everything still works beautifully.

Hey man still watching your super a restoration videos. Im back working on mine. Wanted to rebuild my Carter carburetor and the threaded support journal for the main metering jet broke when I tried to unscrew it. just crumbled. I'm researching if I can replace the Carter with a zenith. I think its possible but can't verify yet.
