Hello and Welcome to our Fun Facts Channel. Our Fun Facts Channel will be Innovative in showcasing mostly videos for custom cars, vintage cars, race cars, classic car shows, hot rods, street rods and all exotic sports cars from around the world.

As we try to grow our channel we will be making videos on the topic for all the racing exotic cars such as the Lamborghini racing team, Ferrari racing team, BMW racing team, Mercedes racing team, and the Chevy Corvette racing team.
We know that the car world includes vintage corvettes and the Mclaren GT and the Mclaren 720S.
So for all of the favorite racing teams, we will also be creating videos for the famous Ferrari F8 and the Aston Martin and how could we ever forget to include the Audi R8 and the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT.
I believe the video series we will be starting today may just turn out to be the crowd favorite because these cars have taken over the world's popularity the now-famous Lamborghini Aventador and the Lamborghini Huracan.
We have you covered for all indoor and outdoor Custom Car Shows. If there are Fun Facts to be found we will create a video for you!

My dad owned a 49 Rocket 88. He loved that car. It could really haul the mail. Dad's favorite story, he bought it just a little bit after he got married and they had 2 kids. It had a V8 engine. His dad was mad. He came down and said, "that's a nice car, but you'll never be able to afford it. And that V8 will never hold up. The pistons will wear sideways. Haha. Not only did that car scoot, but it also got decent mileage. They did know how to do it back then. 3 hundred and fifty thousand miles later, granddad came down and said, "boy, that car has been outstanding for you. I was wrong. Dad loved that Olds so much, he bought another one in 55. Ten years later, he sold the 49 to a man who won a crash derby with it. It still ran great. What a waste. Dad was mad that he let it go.

My first car was a '50 88 2-dr Sedan in '62....later on, I owned a Club Coupe, 4-dr Sedan and a Holiday hardtop...all '50 88s....Great cars !

My first car was a 1949 Olds coupe with a '59 Olds engine with 394 C.i. and a '37 LaSalle transmission. I love that car. Only a great deal on a 1957 Chevy Nomad could pull my hands from that Olds.

Had an uncle that was an Oldsmobile man when others were Ford, Chevy or Chrysler men. His first was a '41 98 coupe bought it new when he was only 19 years old. I asked everyone in my family how did he afford it. Finally my uncle that ran around with him when he was single said he ran numbers for the mob on the east side of Detroit. In late '42 he was given the choice of going to prison or join the Navy for the duration. He chose being a sailor. When he mustered out in '46 he bought a new '46 Olds & bought a new Olds every 2 years after that for quite a while. He always seemed to know a guy who knew a guy that could get him a deal. Great memories

This is the model is the one that transformed the Olds from an older person's car to an exciting car, but some of the 49s appear to be 6 cylinder Series 70 cars.

Holy Smokes , the car in the thumb nail looks exactly like My Dads . He bought it second hand ( 2 years old ) in 1951 having just come back from Korea and just married Mom . He got Whuped by a Black Hudson Hornet w the twin H setup . He owned several Hudsons after that

Some of the "49s" are 50s. The cars with the slim curved gravel shield, backup lights in the top part of the taillight housing, 1 piece windshield, and on V8 models, the spear coming off of the headlights are 1950 cars.

And some of the 49 88s appear to be 6 cylinder Series 70 cars - the rocker trim doesn't have the globe or "Futuramic" on it.

No standard gear box ?? back in the day we would just pick up a 3-speed Packard (1940's-50's) preferably with the Borg Warner OD and bolt it up using a Hildenbrand adapter. We put these Olds/Packards in Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs, Fords and Chevys. Packard trans were lying in every bone yard for $30-40 always in good condition.

Hydramatic was standard on the 49, but you could get a 50 with a stick.

Also, if you put a standard trans in a car that had automatic, you will need to change the rear end gearing as well, as an automatic usually has taller gearing.

First car I ever Heisted was a 1957 Oldsmobile Rocket I have photos it belonged to my late Pop's...I was 3 years old and my brother was 4 he was my Cohort in crime...We cranked her and ran her across the 4 Lane before ditching her..... Pop's was getting Sodas for us...

Adam Make sure that you bore out the cylinders , they had a tendency to wear out the top end of the cylinders fairly early. Anyway , I put one in a '39 Chev in 1954 , and it was a great engine. I had several more Olds V8 s later on. 4 in all , and not one of them was a lemon.!
