The hunt is over, we found a 1950 Cadillac S&S Hearse project. Plans call for a new powertrain, air ride, full interior and Air conditioning. will probaly leave the patina alone for now. Hopfuly it will be terrorizing the streets of Austin this spring. so we can hit Power Tour and road trip to Hearse fest in Michigan

Back around `68 my brother had a `51 that had no side windows in the rear, more like a panel truck with a rear side door just on the passenger side. I`d advise against getting rid of the original seat, it was the most comfortable car I`ve ever ridden in and there might be a heater under the driver`s side. His had the original engine and trans, a 3-speed stick that he porked drag racing a Falcon. He found one that came from a `50 Olds. Good luck with your project, they`re great cruisers.

1965 Black Cadillac hearse is my favorite. Back in the day New Orleans biggest party had a hearse parade that was a sight to behold. I didn’t count but there had to be between 100 and 150 there. Weird and way out there was the theme. 😃

Hi there mate yes give it a Chop top airbag it will be a sweet ride when it done bro it's a great looking ride . I was looking at a 1954 or 56 Ford ambulance I ask the owner of it why was the old girl parked under the trees and not in the shed he said a lot of spooky shit was Happening the siren 🚨 and the lights would come on at night he said he would take the battery out of it but just like same one Come alone and put it back in the car so iam bit of a pussy- when it comes to the spooky shit .mate you should worry about the dead one just the live ones running a round . You and your loving wife should have a great time doing the old girl up mate lts a very cool looking ride mate iam a fan from down under Australia I love watching you doing our work on your ride mate so I hope you and your wife and Family be safe

Thank you. Yes, the living amongst us is far more scarier than the dead. Ambulances can definitely be a little stranger. Because people very well may have died in them. I read a story about a guy that had a hearse and an ambulance in his shop and he had a psychic medium come by and sit in the cars. When she got into the ambulance, all she heard was screaming. The hearse was just peaceful.

The placement of the upper hinge on the back door is going to make chopping that top difficult to say the least . With the big side doors Mabel is a 3 way girl . In and out the back or either side . At least nobody ever died in a hearse , something that the ambulance owners can't claim .
