What a beautiful machine and what a treat to see it without a mascot screwed to the radiator cap. As a lifelong Jaguar owner, I’ve obviously nothing at all against the famous ‘leaper ’, but some models are clearly better without it, after all , the Mk. 1V, Mk.V and the wonderful XK series of sports cars were not fitted with it as standard - and William Lyons knew exactly what he was doing!

I agree with Bob Marshall, "All the dumb comments show that Americans know nothing about classic English cars!"

Trouble is, they do. Classic English car business in the US is at a premium, as it has been for many years. It's a shame so many beauties end up over there (look at Pebble Beach Concours) but at least money is being spent to keep these classics on the road.

I think Jaguar MK V had engines made by the Standard motor co. The magnificent Jaguar XK engine was fitted to the XK 120 an open top 2 seater sports car and I think from the Mk V11.

Beautifully and faithfully restored it would appear not made into a hybrid of the old and the new which ruins both stances. You can lock the trunk lid too.

The Jaguar Mark V is not the type of car you would see parked in the rough part of town. But that's where I lived, With my 10 year old aufon car, Origenal paint job, War-Ship gray with a little dull red under coat showing through in places, No longer a starterling gray gloss. But a flat war ship gray. It was a couler you could accept and respect, In the dark and the rain it could be mistaken for a new Bentley, The car came with a shofers hat, Which I wore when I drove the car, Ever One was polite to me and traffic police waved me through. It was a win win. Yes this was back in the day, In Old U.K.

LOL. What cars don't like, is standing still. They're devices built to move. You're doing more damage to them than snow and moisture.

When it is a well-preserved LHD, it is a Jag-warr. When it is a ratty old RHD it is properly a Jag-yew-arr.
