1950 MG YA Saloon
The first MG Saloon to feature independent front suspension and rack and pinion steering, the ‘Y’ Series MG was originally intended for launch in 1940 having been developed through 1938/9. However, WW2 prevented the car going into production and it was not in fact launched until 1947.
This example has been well cared for and based on old documents the recorded mileage of just 26,000 miles is believed to be genuine. A complete body-off restoration was undertaken during 2005 with photographic evidence.

Wasn't the central body shell or 'tub' from the A-pillar back used from the 1947/48 Morris 8-series E as the basis of the Y-Type styling? Looks virtually identical. MG chassis and mechanicals being quite different etc including interior trim etc.
