1951 Ford F1: Video #13 -- Finish hood lettering and new fuel pump

Latest update on the 1951 Ford F1 pickup: I'd noticed it staggering a bit, even at speed, and we determined the fuel pump was leaking pretty badly. Even though it still moves fuel fine, we decided to go ahead and replace it. Purrs like a sewing machine now!
Also finishing up the lettering on the hood spears and decided to go ahead and do the nose emblem as well. This is obviously the wrong kind of paint to go on chrome, and/or I'm just not doing it right. It looks OK unless you get real close, so I'm going to leave it for now. If you have an idea of the proper way to paint them, please share in the comments.
