1951 Ford F1: Video #14 -- Pondering the Patina

Ever since I bought the '51 Ford truck nearly a year ago, I've been thinking about what I want to do to polish/preserve the patina. I don't want to clear coat it but will use the boiled linseed oil method as I love how that deepens and brings out the color in oxidized metal.
But what's the best way to prep the patina? As you've probably seen there about 12 million videos on KZbin about polishing patina. Since I'm new to this, I thought I'd try out the four most popular methods so we can compare them side-by-side before we commit to doing the whole truck.
We tried sanding, brillo pad, comet and CLR with a scotch pad. I was surprised how different the results were. Take a look and leave a comment with your preferred method as I ponder the patina!

My favorite method is to wash the surface with soap, water and a scotchbrite pad to prep the surface. That removes the dirt and lose oxidation. I then use 1/2 boiled linseed oil cut in half with 1/2 mineral spirts applied very lightly with a rag. Very lightly being key. Then let it dry and reapply when needed. I wish I videoed when I did my my 39 cabover patina. It looked a lot like your truck with the surface oxidation. It's now an amazing red with 84 years of character.
