Excellent series, nicely done, a proper restoration rather than someone throwing new parts at it. Thank you.

They are worth saving. My grandkids love it, and even though it won't be used as it was originally intended, it will be enjoyed.

thanks for sharing your journey. I noticed the long rails on the inside of the bonnet. what do they do? they look like drawer slides
@mydiyvehicleresto2 жыл бұрын
Richard, They are slides for the Bonnet stay. The stay stops the bonnet from moving too far forward when you open it. Denis

Hi Denis. Great job! What make of engine is it?
@denisleys90475 жыл бұрын
It is a 4 cylinder 2088cc Standard engine. I understand that the block at least is similar to the Triumph Tr3 engine.

Hi denis, I’m doing up a tea20 here in new Zealand and are having trouble getting the right Fergusson grey paint , everything is the dark grey here, what did you use on your tractor ? Regards mark
@mydiyvehicleresto2 жыл бұрын
The paint was Dulux Metalshield Epoxy Enamel and I selected the colour from the standard colour chart. I can't remember which grey it was on the chart. I purchased it from Bunnings. Denis

@@mydiyvehicleresto thanks for the fast reply. I’ll make a video on the one I’m about to restore. It is in very good shape compared to the one u did. The pistons are scorched and its lacking power so it will be a complete rebuild on the motor.
@mydiyvehicleresto3 жыл бұрын
@@paintingandlife4288 Good luck with the rebuild.

hi Denis can you please tell me where you purchased your tyres from as i looking for the same . I live W. A . Thank you .
@mydiyvehicleresto6 жыл бұрын
Robert I got the rear tyres from a local Truck and Earth Moving tyre centre in NSW. Although they didn't have them in stock they were able to get them in the same day and fit them to my rims. You should have similar tyre centres in WA. The front tyres I ordered online from Heads Tractors in QLD and had them delivered by post.
@robertmason89406 жыл бұрын
Thank you Denis , were the front ones hard to fit ?
@denisleys90476 жыл бұрын
Robert Mason I tried but gave up and got them fitted with the rears. The rear tires took days to get off, even with help. Much quicker with the right equipment.

Could have saved all that work, you fitted a diesel engine radiator to a petrol engine.
@mydiyvehicleresto3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately for me it was supplied as one for a petrol engine.
