Half of these commenters don't have a clue what the 50's era was about, so of course, they're going to flap their gums out of context. Let's not mention the fact that they've probably NEVER torn an engine down or even changed their oil on their own without having a shop touch it. I respect the guy for carrying on in an era where customizing a car wasn't just about buying hubcaps and fuzzy steering wheel covers from Walmart and tossing them on your whip. These were grease monkeys that would build a car from the bare frame up with everything being rebuilt and personalized to their own taste. It takes a shit ton of wrench time, man hours and coffee to do it. They're alive in an era where being surrounded by neo-hippies and wanna-be's wasn't an option. Respect. \m/

What a great ride. Seriously this guy is one of, if not my favorite builder. I get that the style isnt for everyone , but the craftsmanship is really top notch. A lot of ppl that try to do this really do a sloppy job and cut corners. This dude doesnt care how long it takes as long as its done right. I have a 53 rocket and even though i wouldnt chop the top on it, damn this one looks great

I wish larry would track this beautiful kustom down and get it back just my opinon but when this video first came out it gave me lots of hope to start a car club ive allways loved how larry thought about running a car club. But anyways I never had any luck most peoples interested in it for the trophys and all the chrome under the hood but its all about history for me and the people like are grandparents that made it possible for theses old cars and way of life possible for us to love and charish. Its the end of 2015 I think sometimes its better to just move on with a new dream like collecting record. loved this video

@HeyRadialMoon To get the flames out the back, first you need raw gas feeding into the exhaust. Then you need spark plugs in the exhaust pipes powered from a spark coil. Next thing you've got fire, lots of fire!

It appears that Larry's flame thrower system is supplemented with propane, as well. I was waiting for his wife to break out some Oscar Mayers' hotdogs and roast a few on forks over those dual pipes.

@HeyRadialMoon It only works on old cars with carbs and no catalytic converter. Just rev it up to flood the engine and the extra gas gets in the pipes. Put some spark plugs and a coil in the back of the pipes and you are good. He does remind you of clay. LOL

Back when the Hells Angel's or other biker gangs also looked like this with the tough menace image. But if you were a geek or dweeb or just an asshole in general, they just might stomp on you, or rob you, or steal your car. Or flirt with your sister or girlfriend, or get your girlfriend pregnant. & Wait you to try & stop them.
