Did someone drive it across the Bering Straight when it iced over in winter? I had a Super Beetle as my first car, it was a good car, but I could not stand the putt putt sound the exhaust made, and it was incredibly underpowered going up hills. I loathed it so much, I ended up destroying it on purpose, which seems weirdly narcissitic in retrospect, but you have to understand, I had worked hard and been an A student at the top of my class, and this was what passed as a reward I got as my first car to drive myself and my sister to school. While other kids got Mustangs and Corvettes and Camaros. I got something austere and spartan from WW2 Germany. They seem cute and adorable, until you have to drive one as your only car...
