Sweet car! That engine just purrs like a contented cat! 😊 Simply beautiful restoration. My Dad used to have one of those with an interior like the one in your car and a two-tone (cream/tan) exterior. Thank you for sharing

I had a 52 ranchwagon that was willed to me by my grandfather. Just sold it a few years ago actually. Flathead V8, 3 speed on the column and still ran. Neat car.

Wow this one looks and sounds exactly like mine did. Mine was green however. And the one other difference that I see is my steering wheel had a silver ring around the inside of it that acted as the horn.

Beautiful car. My father had one the same (but light blue) when i was a kid, presumably bought new or near new, til about 1968. Cheers from NewZealand

My first car was a 52 Ranch Wagon. Should have held onto it. Yours is gorgeous.

When my grandfather passed, we inherited his 54' with a straight six and a 2 speed auto trans. I was about 7 or 8 years old at the time; early 60's. I had forgotten that the car had a very unique smell because of the stuffing in the seats but when you climbed into the driver's seat the visual of the gauges brought that odor right back to me. Very odd, but that's the way the brain works. Your video brought back a lot of other memories, some not so good. I was the youngest of the kids so I used to ride in "the way back" on an old beach chair. When it was hotter than hell in summer those side sliders were fairly useless for air circulation. Thanks for sharing.

My parents had a 54 Ranch Wagon when I was a child. First year of the Y Block engine, w/ Fordomatic. Bright Aqua turquoise color.

We had one only green sometime around 1957, I remember me and my sister sleeping in the back on a trip to Chicago from Indiana to visit my aunts what went for work sometime after WW2.

Does it make any difference what kind of heads the engine has? A V8 is a V8 Absolutely a beautiful ranch wagon 👍👏😊♥️

It does make some difference in compression, which equals more power. Thanks for watching!

Well, having lived with Fords of that era... Yessirree. 1953 was the final year of Flatheads in North America. A winner for 21 years! The poor misbegotten Y blocks we're intro'd in 1954, and until the FE Series came out Ford was in so many ways FUBAR. Later had it right with the Small Block 302 which morphed into the 5.0 L HO Decades later! But the Y~block 239/272/292/312=💩💩💩💩

I love the old ranch wagon. Don’t think there was much difference in the ‘52 to ‘53 except maybe engine offerings. I learned to drive on a ‘52 ranch wagon back in ‘82/‘83. Sure miss it, lightning struck a tree and it fell almost dead center front to back ‘02 or ‘03.
