Hello the 54 motor is the first year with full pressure oiling .very desirable. I sold mine which was a core for 450 .this would help on project costs.i definitely would not scrap it.put it online.the lowriders love these.good luck. Love your show and integrity work ethic. God bless.

I was not even aware that the jag front suspension was a popular swap into hot rods. I knew that the rear independent suspension was sometimes used in more fancy hot rods. But didn't know the front ends were also sought after. Also, it looked like that jag ran over a scarecrow. I sure hope it wasn't the one from "The Wizard of Oz" as I really liked that movie. Lol. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to the next one.

That 54 dropped cross member you can use a power rack from an 1988 delta 88 for steering rack. look at it , We used that on a 52 chevy and it worked without a lot of modification. We were low on knowledge but went smooth.

I used that style of Jag rear diff in a car I built and I cut the whole floor and mounting points and installed the whole thing - I had a 454 in the car as well and all held up - I have to keep stopping the video to see exactly how things are fitting - (good so far Eh?) - Practice on this one and I'll send you an other one the same - that should only take a couple of evenings - hahaha

54 Chevy project is looking good. That Jag motor has value, if it's not blown up. It's a hot rodder choice in England. It's the equivalent of a BMW six. Standard engine for Jaguar since the fifties. It's probably a 3.2 liter. Could be 3.6 or 4.0. Has a lot of potential. Thanks for the video. 👍😎🍺🕵🏾‍♂️🎸🎵👽🧙🏼‍♂️🥂

You can notch the top part of the top hat frame in that location for the steering shaft, but try not to cut into the bottom plate of the frame in that location. The bottom plate is in tension and any cut will make it weaker, the top hat is in compression so you can fill it in with a welded in plate without causing any real problems to the strength of the frame.

The Jaguar wheels on the other hand, were a revelation! Boy do they look good on the '54 Biscayne! Better than on the Jag itself. You only have 2 of them, but I'd consider trying to get two more. People will look at them and wonder what they are! They add a kind of classyness to the old Chevy.

Could make a bracket flange to relocate the rack where you want it. Just by sliding over the rack and putting at the angle you needed also to line up with your column. Don't know if it would work, I never have tried it. But it should. That will work better than the aftermarket products. What years does it take? Your right on the rear. That's what I was needing or a S10 rear but there I would have to change my drive shaft and trans. Thanks for the show. It was very informative for me.Ronnie.
