My dad bought my sister a '54 Chevy 2-door with the stove bolt six and the automatic just like this one. It was a really good car. Overdrive made it good for the 2-lane blacktop highways of the time, and she always started and rode like a dream. When I was a kid, I thought it was boring. Seeing your aging replica brought it all back with pleasant nostalgia. Thanks.

My first car, back in 1959 was a super clean 54 Chevy 150. Three on the tree for $600.00. Wanted the 56 Chevy Bel Air that was also for sale there but didn't have the $900.00 they wanted. ;o( When my Mom said "finance it", I called back to the dealer and it was already gone. Mid year 1961, traded the 54 for a new Corvair Monza 4 speed. My vote would be the 235 with dual carbs, dual exhaust, and a S-10 five speed overdrive. Might be a bit more difficult to arrange but definitely not as 'BELLYBUTTON"!! Your car so YOUR CHOICE !!!!

The easiest fix I can imagine is to side mount a single jack shaft to the engine to make it fit your application. Main drive from crank to the jack shaft with secondary drive from the jack shaft to the blower. Or....just find a longer blower. lol.

That old Buick has the great 3.8 engine in it. It is the best V6 engine that GM has ever built. It is bullet proof. There is great demand for these old GM's with this engine. This engine used in Oldsmobile, Pontiacs, Chevys and Buicks. The body will go and the engine will still be running great.
