Wonderful cars. A good friend, and fellow Brit car nut, owns a 55 TF. He has had it for 43 years. He has made only two modifications, 5 speed transmission and a geared starter. This 1954 was not the "last of the series" .. 1955 1500 was the " last of the series"

I can just imagine a pipe smoking rakish rogue with a handle bar moustach tearing down a country B road in one of these with one hand on the wheel and the other on his girlfriends thigh.Not my cup of tea but thats a very clean car.

IMO, these look nice in black. not all mg's do AFAIK. i think it may be the faired in headlights. and, unlike many, i'm a fan of the steel wheels over the wires. don't know why, it may be all of the hideous fake wire wheel hubcaps that became so popular starting in the fourth quarter of the last century.

My guess £17,500 max with that paint. I saw one just like this in black in a salesroom when I was 19 back in the 1960's always wanted one. I have the money to buy one but I already have three cars.
