Check out this 1956 Chevrolet Handyman Wagon Hot Rod that Steve Holcomb Pro Auto Custom Interiors just finished installing a all leather custom interior in...Now this 56 Chevrolet Wagon is not a over the top custom...But one that was built to be driven...There is no question that it is a very nice build but there is not a lot of custom fabrication work or modifications that would make it fragile...It's covered with a light blue over white paint job...It's got a great stance...But one that would allow you to drive it daily....The underside is all new and very clean...Top of the line parts for sure but nothing exotic...Wheels are always a personal choice and no one set will work for everyone but the ones this 1956 Chevrolet Handyman wagon wears are fine with Me...Of course Steve and the crew of Pro Auto Customs Interiors built the perfect interior for this build..Very cool... Slightly custom and very useful...Under the hood is a small block Chevy putting out around 350 horse power.... Not a race car....But plenty to make it a good cruiser and a great driver...This 1956 Chevrolet Handyman Wagon that is just rolling out of Steve Holcomb Pro Auto Custom Interiors is a very cool car for sure...And I am sure you will love it....Check it out!!!!

My dad had a 55 I absolutely love this car, the fact that he didn’t do an over the top build. This is actually how I would want my car built! It is not radical drivetrain or a trailer queen it looks like a good usable daily driver. Thanks Scottie

No. Handyman was probably what the dealers called them. The official trim package was 150, then the 210, then Belair. Nomad was top of the line for wagons. Great car.

They made the 2dr 210 wagon and the 150 2dr wagon but never a Bel-AIR 2 dr wagon except for the stylish Nomad which was to cool to be called a wagon !

I don't know how anyone can say it's "not custom". That is a custom 56 Handyman, it's just not an over the top worthless piece that's only good for trailering to shows. Think of the cars that win the Ridler for example ..... What do you do with them after that other park them in some collection of cars that are never enjoyed. Cars are made to be driven, not just looked at.
