I was really concerned when you cut the outer quarters off. After seeing the store bought inner panels installed I could see you were on track. I was really impressed with mounting the floor plans to the frame and jacking the ass. up to the existing shell. Least amount of handling best reattachment. The quarters looked great ! ! ! Rockers door gaps, You and your pals should be very very proud ! ! ! You demonstrated the best procedure to accurately perform that level of panel replacement. I love it. I love it ! ! !

I think it's amazing that people perform renovations such as these, keeping these invaluable cars on the road!

that's what these cars are made for! they're built with being able to be disassembled and reassembled by their owners! That's the way everyone did it before the internet!

Rust is the nemesis of old cars, it's a lot of work even with just a little rust. So kudos to you for repairing all that rust on this car, well wishes from Sweden!

Was listening to your commentary and the 57 frames are different then the 55 56. The frame horns turn together to form a box for the 57 big bumper weight and the 55 56 inner braces turn out. I had to piece in half a 55 frame for my narrowed rear 57 frame and found out. I did save the 57 frame horns but will cut them off the 55 where it narrows to 3 inches square and weld in 3 inch square tubing to support the weight of the 57 bumper. You did a great job. I replaced the firewall with a smooth one and the floor next. I made the same body support so thanks for the idea Danny.

Good video! I've done both frame-on and full frame-off jobs (which is a lot more work), and I must say that in many cases (California-Arizona cars, for example) a full frame-off is quite a bit of work, costly, and not really necessary; especially for a driver car. I say this only because I know more than a few people who sadly began a frame-off project, found out too late it was more than they could chew, and the vehicle ended up in a scrap heap. One needs to count the cost ahead of time.

It's a great job. You've been very handy. These cars deserve to be saved. The panels you got are the same gage as the original sheet metal? How are the stamp detail and fitness? Keep doing that good job and publish more photos.
