Gorgeous '57 Pontiac! My first car was a '57 Pontiac Star Chief and everything about it was the same as this car in the video. I have missed my '57 Pontiac ever since I let it go, and would love to have it back again.

Great video! I had two 57 Pontiacs in high school back in the 60's. One was a lime green Chiefton four door sedan and the other was a white Star Chief four door hardtop with red/white leather interior and the 347 Tri-Power!. I'd give anything to have em back.

By the mid 60s Pontiac was on top with styling. When I was a kid my friends father bought a brand new 66 Bonneville. Beautiful car...check it out.

matrox My grandfather had Pontiac’s in ‘56, ‘62, ‘69 and ‘77. Dad had a ‘57 when I was a toddler and later bought Grandpa’s ‘69. I would gladly own an old Pontiac.

@@dam4274 In the late 50s when I was a toddler and older couple up the street had a 55 Pontiac. My father had a 55' Rocket 88 Olds 2 door hardtop. My fathers car looked so much cooler than the Pontiac. I didn't start to like Pontiac styling until around 62' or so, then by 66' I was a big fan.

Nice machine you got there! Though it would be hard to imagine that the original owner would have bought it with the exhaust sounding like that. It probably was a bit quieter. But that did not stop me from giving a "like" to your video. Also, I have never before seen the original factory air conditioning controls being mounted on top of the - like that.

Joe, I saw you comment on the coral pink color. When I was a kid my Dad had a 57 and Mom always called it coral pink. I was only 7 when they traded it but I remember the body being white and the top and sides being the coral color. Was that like yours?

According to the paint chip sheet I have, the color is DAL-70741-DQE / Carib Coral. There were 24 different colors for '57 Pontiacs! Mine had a pink roof and a cream-colored spear on the side.

Thanks to you I found that color online. My Mom is 91 and has a very good memory so I'll talk to her about that color scheme. If I ever get to build a 57 I'd like to replicate the colors. Thanks Again!

My very first car at the age of 16 was this exact model; the 4 door, hardtop, Pontiac Chieftain in (I think) Lucerne Blue. It was NOT in this cherry condition but this video almost brought tears to my eyes. I couldn't take that car anywhere without finding people hanging out by it when I returned. Some of the people that worked on the movie Christine also hunted me down to use my car in a sequel to the movie (that never happened). GREAT VIDEO and SWEET ride. WHAT'S THE SELLING PRICE????
