They realized early, the teletouch tranny was not a proven option. Many of the cars were a problem for dealers. Also, the cars were delivered to dealers with many problems. The whole experiment was thrust into the market before any bugs were worked out. The fact that a new brand was introduced during a recession, didn’t help.
