1958 Ferrari pedal car - Restoration

I had a very similar pedal car when I was young. It was a replica of a Maserati 250F. My mum had a younger brother born in 1950, and it was his. My granny sent it from Aberdeen and I got it when I was about 3 years old, which would have been 1965. It was beautiful, with wire wheels. The hump, and a similar seat to the one in this Ferrari. It was metal with a padded cushion. It had a chrome petrol cap on the hump. The kids on the street used to push me up and down in exchange for a shot in the car. When we moved house, my mum gave it to the next door neighbour. One kid took the steering wheel, seat and wheels and made a bogey. The body was sent to the steelworks and was melted down for scrap. In the early 1990s, I was watching the antique road show and there was an identical one on their worth £4k. Imagine what it’d be worth now.
