Thank you so much for playing the SAME riffs when comparing the pickups.... it's surprising how many demos don't do that!
@StamatisStabos4 жыл бұрын
Yes i have seen a lot of demos and it's like they try to show me how good they play guitar 😄🎶🎸

I have the Jazzmaster set from Q pick ups with the hot bridge pick up and they are absolutely amazing pick ups.

I put these in a partscaster i was playing with. Along with a squire jm tremolo and bridge. They sound amazing! The bridge pup sounds way cooler than my other JM which has 65s in it. The middle position is really nice too. Highly rate these!

Just got these same Q ones from Croatia. Put them in my CIJ Jazzmaster and sound really nice. Prefer them to the classic vibe 60’s ones I had in before and a lot better than the Japan stock ones.

@@StamatisStabos Ordered the 58s set...!
@davidcudlip65872 жыл бұрын
I have a Jazzmaster set ordered but I don't know if they're 58 or 65's? Alnico V with beveled pole pieces. Wound around 7k. I've bought a few of his telecaster, stratocaster, P bass and Jazz bass pickups. Always sounded great.
@christianwilson96774 жыл бұрын
So what’s your preference? I seem to still lean towards the 65’s but it seems like the bridge of the 58’s has a bit of high mid boost which makes it even more effective.

Yes i like the 58 more sounds amazing the only way to use the 65 is to use 250k pots
@Rainy783 жыл бұрын
How were the originals compared to the 58's? I see you had the duncans in there. Your choice are the 58's all the way? Do pots need changing too using these 58's? Thanks! Sounds luscious 👌

Hi! yes i still using the 58s sound good to me, here a video a sound test with 65, 58 and the duncan stock pickups kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpicYaOmrpaMm7c and here all the upgrades i have made on the guitar stabosmusic.blogspot.com/p/ab.html

For the "58's, I'd keep the 1 Meg Tone and Vol controls. This is what the originals had in 1958. imho, 1 mag pots give you the most control, just roll off some tone. Although, these are Alnico 5 magnets in the demoed ones. I think the originals might used Alnico 2 or 3 (at least this is what most boutique pick up makers use nowadays for that specific 58" sound. It's suposed to sound darker then a "65 style pick up.

Hi, did you notice any difference in the noise floor? I have the PV65s and new pickups must definitely not be any noiser..

I'm thinking about getting '58 pickups, would you reccomend them as a replacement? I also have Squier CV Jazzmaster. Can you use covers from stock pickups or you have to get a new pair?
@StamatisStabos4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tomialav! Yes they have nice sound i dont like the 65 fender pickups you can hear the test here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpicYaOmrpaMm7c Yes you can use the squier covers its the same size

I think that if you play with a band on stage no one can hear the différence.

Both pickups both seem to have that tinny, thin sound
