Having owned a 63 1600 Sprint, a 67 GT Junior, a 69 1750 GTV, and a Milano/75 Verde, I found your feelings about the cars spot on. It’s definitely a heart thing. I think I was very lucky owning them when I did. They are out of reach now but it’s a different world. I used to go through a ritual before I drove to walk around the car, check the oil, look for leaks, etc. and just admire the twin cam engine and the body lines. The 69 with Spica enhanced the sense of occasion by having to wait for the fuel pump to make pressure, and starting without touching the gas pedal. It gave time to take in the car with all the senses as it warmed up. Great memories. Excellent heartfelt review.
