Nice looking 59 Edsel. My dad had a 59 Ranger 2 door hardtop so know the car well. Have fun with it this summer, will get a lot of second looks at car shows. Thanks for the video, don.

Yes! Glad to see her back on the road again! It's amazing how small changes, like a dome lamp and lens, can make a huge difference! That gal is a bit thick to maneuver through the garage door! Great video!

Thank you!! I had to use the force to get it out.

really impressed by your interest and skill in preserving the Edsels. Can you say where you get your replacement parts? Saw the dome light replacement. Would like a reliable place to get mechanical and parts referrals and info. Take care & thanks.
@delashmittroad3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! When it comes to parts, I go through the International Edsel Car Club. There are a lot of knowledgeable people that know where to get parts at a decent price.

did I see a hint of a caddy tail fin? Hopefully this will be a car you can have for the rest of your life !
@delashmittroad3 жыл бұрын
Yes where i store my Edsel there is a caddy and I am actually trying to buy it but the owner won't budge. And my Edsel is here to stay i dont plan on ever getting rid of it id like to be able to pass it down one day.

@@delashmittroad You seem like a cool older brother. I just purchased a 1959 Edsel ranger, 4 door. I wish it had a push you back into your seat V-8, but no, it has an inline 6. Oh well it is what it is and I will keep it original. Everything I read says those engines are very long lived and strong, if not exactly race engines. Think what a museum piece this will be when you are 80. heck it's a museum piece now. Thanks for sharing. Oh and what a great graduation present.

How much did you pay for the Edsel, and how reliable is it? I want an Edsel very badly and I think I’ll be able to afford one this summer. Also, how hard are the parts to find? Thanks.
@delashmittroad3 жыл бұрын
Thank you checking out the video!! I actually received the Edsel as a graduation gift, but my parents paid $2500. It has been a very reliable vehicle. I would say it is the most reliable of all my cars. As for finding parts, I haven't had any issues. I am actually a member of the International Edsel car club, and there are a lot of people who know where to get parts. I hope you are able to get one this summer, and if you do please keep in touch.
