1959 John Deere 440 ICD Starter Rebuilt/First Move

In this video we have the starter rebuilt. The bulldozer fired right up with the new starter and we move it off the trailer. The next video will be getting it running again after replacing the fuel line, fixing a leaky fuel tank and radiator leak.

Got two of these little gems (59’s) and just had both starters rebuilt. Love the machines. Screaming Jimmy 2-53. Nothin like ‘em.

We found a local place that rebuilds starters for old tractors and cars in Hughesville, Pa. We found them by calling local tractor dealers and they had told us who they use for their customers.
