Great video David,TR3’s are fun to work on but those body mounts never line up properly. On my tr3 I had to cut and reweld the outriggers so the holes would match. Cheers.

To me that looks very reasonable, as you say. I was thinking the A post is leaning forward on the driver side, butmaybe it does need moving totally , you ( and Elin) are the experts at this so I'm sure you can quickly figure it out. Great video Dave.

I would try using a Porta power across the cowl panel to roll the dash area (push from the lt rocker to the right top of hinge pillar). That would bring the top door gaps more inline. Also the hood gaps seem to be asking for the left inner fender area to need to go forward. That would help hood gap and body mount holes you slotted. Could the donor car have had a bit of ft collision?
@cheftush15 күн бұрын
@@botycobra it’s possible that’s it been in a collision but I think that’s it’s more possible that during a previous restoration attempt that the A posts were positioned incorrectly ( especially the drivers side)

Dave I have not done this job before but wonder, why you are not sitting the car on it’s tires (on raised blocks to allow access below) this would allow the frame and mounting points to be in their relaxed normal positioned state?
@cheftush15 күн бұрын
Hi David, You are correct. I did mention at one point in the video that the car would need to be on the ground to check for final gap fitment and refining. Right now, I’m just trying to establish how far I’m off. Thanks for watching and commenting.
