Very true about the executives, I have been in the engineering game (as a turner) for the last 48 years!

The colour really is a non statement. Never mind, it's just a repaint. Great show, really enjoy your work.

Speaking of monoblocks I had a 350 AJS with a 389/42 one day I to my brothers, upon leaving i heaved on my right foot - the bloody thing backfired and there was an intense heat between my legs - yes it caught fire - unbeknown to me the gauze had dropped off the bell mouth causing the said fire. I had a brown one and patted it out - kicked again it it was fine. Them were the days - Stay Safe

Much as I despise those who claim first view, I feel affronted that, having watched, it still says no views. My first bike was a C15 star, a 16th birthday present and bribe for moving to the outer suburbs, the start of a life in the motorcycle world. Well if not a life, the first half at least with any luck!

Mine is a 62....I was all over Canada with mine. I hated the seat. I had a deer over my tank once, I was coming back to camp going through the woods, tank was all dented and scratched, but it ran a long time.

They were tough little bikes. As you were restricted to a 250 as a learner in the UK they were very popular.

Yes, enjoyed the tour and examination of the C-15S. There were a handful of the sport model sold in the Wichta, Ks area and two owned by fairly close friends to be used in scrambles. I recall them having durability issues early on. Going to a roller bearing big-end was quickly implemented. I bought a Matchless G2 250cc scrambles model that I raced against them and was successful in out-matching them though it, too, developed crankshaft problems as time went on; it did seem the better handling of the two. Fwiw, I recall the C15s having chrome tank panels with the base color of a dark metallic blue bordered with a gold stripe.

BSA did some very nice blues over the years, this bike would look a lot better with that tank. I wonder what happened to all of those competition bikes here. In the UK the vintage competitions are full of British bikes, which I suppose makes sense, but here all I see are European and Japanese ones. Thanks for watching.

Harley hummer is a copy from a Bsa Bantam. Bsa Bantam is a copy from the German DKW. And a Sunbeam S7 looks like a IFA.

Harley and BSA both obtained the designs for the DKW two stroke as war reparation after the 2nd World War so there was no copying between them and it is interesting to see how different the two bikes that they produced are. The Bantam was simple but the Hummer is agricultural.

@@BritanniaMotorcycles Just a footnote, the 125cc DKW also lived on post war in East Germany as the MZ. They were still making them at least up to the end of the 1970's.
