I have a 1958 f100 stepside short bed have chopped the top and turning it into the truck version of the Eleanor GT-500 same Pepper Grey Metallic paint and blown 351 cleveland engine and dropped finished the body mods I widened the rear fenders to make room for the Detomaso pantera wheels my truck was a California truck zero rust and even then it's so much work and money have spent $7200 in parts alone at LMC Truck! had I known how expensive it would be I would have never started but now I have to completed it will be an awesome truck will post video once I get it out of the garage .. it looks like Eleanor's mean brother! lol can't wait to see your truck completed!!!! love your channel Cheers From Salt Lake City!

Just finished my bed, got it into epoxy primer, and set it to the side, and dragged the cab in the shop, it too needs one of everything, I need a front end grill, and maybe a bench seat? May buy buckets? But I do have a nice set of aluminum edelbrock heads with 1.7 roller rockers.. if you need or want to bater

Mustangs Falcons and a 1960 F100 throw in a Fairlane and you have all my favorites I'm excited to see how it comes out I've wanted a fridge for a while but I'm unable to pull the trigger because I haven't given up on finding the one I used to own and lost it was this same color but a step side but it's getting hard to resist if I find a good driver at the right price I'm done for

Where'd ya get the sheet metal parts. I got a 59 that's going to need pretty much the same pieces and glass. Also got a 94 351w with a AOD trans That needs rebuilding.

Probably not. I mean, I like the option. But the wheel base puts the front wheels too far back in the wheel well and it drives me nuts.

What’s the game plan for front rims?? I am torn between the crown Vic and the mustang II kit about 2k..

So probably CV wheels initially to get it rolling and on the road. Even though i dont like them. THe game plan is to either have a custom set built or see what I can find with a backspace that is correct or close enough.

You will have better wheel choices with the mustang II. I went CV for overall budget. Trying to keep entire build under 10k and turnout a really nice truck

I get it 10k is a lot of money and I totally get your theory “ a little over time “ so I’m curious what do you do when it comes to sell and you asking is exactly what you have in it and your trying too recoup those funds to move into another project , you get buyers who literally want you to give your money way to them at your expense ? Please riddle me this .

Well, first off I don’t sell anything lol but if I did I would ask for what the market will bear. Start high and come down until I’m no longer at profit. I won’t lose money on a car. I’d just keep it and pass it to my kids. I get my enjoyment from building and driving them. I don’t use them to make money. Cars (unless exotic) are kinda tough to make money on.

@@rdspeedfab my comment wasn’t intended to sound like I’m even remotely selling to make money , my comment was intended to get some insight from guys who enjoy doing projects like this such as myself , drive them enjoy them for a while , get the itch to do another and you want get your money back on your last build to start another , that is nearly impossible to do now a days . I love building them as much as driving and enjoying them , I get 10k wrapped up in a project drive it for a few years or so and want to move to my next build . Ultimately I’ve had to come to a complete stop cause I’ve run out of money and I can’t sell what is completed to move on to the next because my money is tied up . Guess what I’m saying is I’ve got the itch to do another build but can’t . Hope I’m making sense , buyers think your making money that’s where the problem is .

Great video! Really like the truck, but I am partial to Fridges. I just finished building a 1960 F100 too. I actually came in at well under $10k by using the entire crown Vic frame and drivetrain. @@waynejanzen9346 I have a huge soft spot for Falcons. Mine was bought new by my grandpa in 63. I had it restored and on the road about three years ago but pulled it apart because the engine was making metal. Then the project got carried away. Hopefully wrap it up this summer or fall.
