I definitely remember this 45rpm record because this was definitely my older sister Maureen Brown Woodhouse favorite song way before she passed away. She was definitely Little Anthony & The Imperials biggest fan she had their album. I dedicate that song to my older sister Maureen Brown Woodhouse RIP! I miss my older sister!!!

I definitely dedicate this song to my older sister Maureen. My sister was a great big fan of Little Anthony and the Imperials and this is one of her favorite song as well. 1960 I was only just a baby.

I remember this from the classic K-Tel Record collection commercials of the late 60's & 70s. Oh the memories!

1960 I was just a baby but later on as I have gotten into my teens my older sister played this song like crazy. Little Anthony and the Imperials were her favorite group as well.

Same here, born in 1960. lt's timeless. Never gets old. I've always liked music made between 1955 to 1963. I miss the reverb and groups singing chords instead of one note at a time. Little Anthony performed this at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati in the early '90's. He still hit that high note at the end.

I wasn't born until 64' but I do remember being taught a hand game and a circle game by my older siblings that were played while singing "shimmy shimmy coco pop" exactly the way it sounds in this song. Clearly, this is where my older sibs and their friends got it from. 💟😻

There's little I can say about this jewel that hasn't already been said. I was 14 when this song came out and I bought the record and played it smooth. Soundtrack of my youth 🎼 🖤

I once read in a book that Alan Freed played this song in the background while he announced in tears that he was resigning from the radio station he dee-jayed (WABC) for in November, 1959 for payola scams.

Anthony Gourdine had an incredible voice.. and doesn't get near enough credit for it. Listen to " Two People in the World" for the best demonstration of his prowess, IMO. It was the flip of Tears on My Pillow .

Their whole catalog and then when he went solo...great voice. Up there with Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson and Clyde McPhatter

Always wondered if Writer BOB SMITH was WOLFMAN JACK using his real name as a possible writer. He used Bob Smith on-air in Newark N.J.(NEW YORK) in the late fifties at 1430 WNJR

Nelly's "Country Grammar" brought this song to mind.
