What a great find. The catalogue artwork is superb! 3:55 In Australia, the Vauxhall Viva descendant became the Holden Torana GTR XU1 Bathurst racer. Top speed around 130mph.

Yep I have the Captain scarlet Patrol Car and the Maximum Securety Vehicle. These toys areolder than me and are waiting for restoration, many spare parts for thesecanbe found online (like tires, windows, doors etc..)

Again, sorry for the late response, same excuse as before 😁. I really want these Captain Scarlet vehicles but I just don’t have any room for them and I actually think the dream of having them is where the nostalgia lies for me as I remember seeing them in this catalogue when I was young.

Dinky always seemed to be "better made" than Corgi, this was part of their problem they became too expensive for the market.

That was the first time I seen an dinky catalogue and I was like had that and that and that and sold that and that and oh I got that and that lol right trip down memory lane

Yeah it was quite fun to look through it again. One day I’ll check out my Dad’s collection and see exactly what he has, it’s all hidden away in his loft.

@@Retrotoyguysi what year did captain Scarlet come out as I was surprised to see them in that catalogue and same here never know that they did a toy from an prisoners ( I am not an number)

@@travelswithjasonf1463 Captain Scarlet was 1967 I believe, so a year before the book, I guess 68 was when the toys came out. I found an example of the white 'Maximum Security Vehicle' with box on line for 150 euros. Bit too much for me. Prisoner was also 67/68. I remember my Mum chasing around the garden with a beach ball a couple of times playing the prisoner 🤣🤣🤣 What Dinkey did/do you have? Future video content?

@@Retrotoyguysi did not have alot of dinky or corgi as a kid but had alot as a adult I did now days I mainly sell dinky or corgi for my star wars/action force fix lol 😆

I lost the refuse truck at Littlehampton , I left it at the B and B we were staying at. My friend had Capt Scarlet and the police motorway unit.

Objectives : Collect one of each in the catelogue , Same but for the recent Remakes using the same I think dies, then get the full size vehicles.

That’s a fine set of objectives there. To be fair I have started looking around for the Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds vehicles, not sure where I can fit them into my collection but where there’s a will and all that.

I wonder if they chose the BMW to have the flashing indicators ironically, because maybe it was an issue with beemers even in the 1960’s…
