Cool! That reminds me of my grandpa he was always fixing things and I would go in the garage with him and look at all the little mechanical bits an pieces he had, organized in those tiny little cabinets, some screws still in the original packaging from the 50's. He passed away ages ago unfortunately but now all of those shelves and toolboxes are in my basement work table and I use them to this day

Loved the towtruck at the start!! Incredible transformation of this little car, I was cheering for prowler purple, but that blue came out perfectly. I never thought of jb weld as a filler, seems to work great, I'm gonna carry that with me. A further push would be to hand paint the sidepipes and undercarriage details with an aluminum colored silver. Car looks cool!!

Wow, you can still get spares for this? The sticker, sidewalls, hubcaps and seat insert probably cost more than five of the new cars did in 1960. Well done, a beautiful refurb job (this went w-a-a-a-a-y beyond a simple 'restore' which implies back to factory standard. This is collectors' level shit, a really great piece of work).
@elizabethpemberton8445
@elizabethpemberton8445 Жыл бұрын
The sidewalls can be done relatively simply at home using silicone molds (material easily obtained at craft stores) cast from an original. You’d need to do a little legwork to get the right rubbery sidewall formula, as resin isn’t flexible enough, but it looks like a simple piece to cast.

That chrome powder-coat blew my mind. I've never seen that before. That saves so much time and effort over proper chrome-plating. I can't wait to look into this.

It's an amazing job well done ! I don't know this label of toys: I think that it don't sold in Europa. Your new color of enamel are beautyfull and the blue that you used for this job is georgous ! Thanks you for all yours videos.

always a classy work. this what separates you from the other toy car restoration. i never skipped your video like i did with the other restorer. just boring, disassembly, sandblasting, powder coat , reassembly, done and repeat it in all their video.

I just stumbled upon this video and I must say that the attention to detail for this restoration is way beyond my expectations. I'm sure many of us have some memories of playing with the toys which were made of metal or wood. Those were the days when cheap plastic was not even was being used for cattle feed packages. Looking at this toy car took me back to my childhood

I can't even tell you how much I appreciate you filling in the rust holes. It's so disappointing in restoration videos when they pan over the finished product and it has all those pockmarks in the paint. I always want to shout "cheater!" Seriously, amazing job!
