Nice to see the post '64 Tonka's get their just recognition. Same quality and design attention as earlier Tonka's....with better value! Good work with pre-sanding the metal prior to coating. Other channel restoration vids miss this step. Plus, removal of the hood dent,... attention to detail makes a video. Great color match!

Hi Ischmel, I am surprised you caught that I removed the dent without putting it in the video. I also straightened out the tail hitch too. I really appreciate your comment and I happy you enjoyed the restoration video. Stay safe and healthy my friend. - R&R

Great to see a story about tonka toys. I remember as a child with family going to a hobo Kelly event at a big store outlet in the early 60s. While on stage hobo Kelly said she was going to ask a question to the crowd and pick a child that raises there hand to come on stage and if they could answer the question they would be able to pick a prize on the stage. I got pick and got the answer right. And pick a army tonka toy set, had it for many years.

Schleich toy farm animals have been used to complete many of my projects...toy livestock for sheep trailers, cattle trucks, horse carriers. Really gives a project that complete, period correct look. Schleich does carry 4 & 1/2 in. horse models, which are a little big, but look like quarter horses with the project. They are available at most farm and ranch supply stores. Most livestock accessories with original Tonka's were usually mixed in with the child's other small toys and easily lost... When orginals are auctioned dedication to the hobby pays the premium. A single 1:25 scale orginal Tonka farm animal, in good condition sells for approximately $35. US dollars.
