1961 Chevrolet Street Rod

A 1961 Chevrolet Street Rod built by Georgia Hot rods that Steve Holcomb Pro Auto Custom Interiors just finished putting a full custom interior in...by the way there is a Supercharged LS6 motor under the hood...very cool car...check it out!! you can see still pictures of this car finished on my blog

Guys, that is some of the cleanest most beautiful interior /trim work I've ever seen. The Owner has to be pleased. I'm going to have to watch this again and save this guy's name. Next time I have interior work done, this is where it'll have to go.

My grand ma had a bubble top Chevy.my mom and dad.had a bubble top Pontiac Catalina 2 dr.light blue and white..v8 auto.nice riding car It was rear.ended.at a red light.my Dad was pissed.He said.the front and the back window were the same size.....I was 9 yrs old then it was around 1966 when it was hit.not very old.. Beautiful car .it had factory air automatic...hell yeah.

7 year old video, I cant be the first to say, nope, those are not original front seats. only bench in '61. And, I am I the only one that hates those hang on the bottom of the dash a/c vents? I dont care what car you put that in, it looks stupid. I have a '61, I am putting mine in the dash.

The color reminds me of the Terminator Skeletor bodies from the movie. My brother had one of these he bought used. Lots of memories as a young teen car pulling in it. Another awesome video Scottie.

I really like the fact that the owner kept a manual, converted to a hydro clutch and stuck with manual brakes. That is one thing that will never change on my 62, I hate the brake booster under the hood and it makes valve adjustments a pita.

One thing I would like to correct you on Scottie, and you keep referring to it.... this is not a Street Rod... it's a Street Machine... or Muscle Car. Street Rods and Street Machines were differentiated by a specific year as created by the NSRA back in the early 70's. Street Rods were any car or truck that was modified prior to 1950 and Street Machines any car or truck that was modified, 1950 and newer... there you have it...

ScottieDTV Well Scott, I may be a little behind the times however, I would like to direct you to the latest issue ( March ) of Street Rodder Magizine on page 28 where three different cars are recognized in the 35th Annual Hotrod Roundup as Triple Crown Of Rodding recipients. The first one was a 32 Ford 2dr sedan, owned by George Poteet. He took home Best Street Rod. The second car was a '69 Camero, owned by John Wilkes and took home Best Street Machine. The third and final car was a 55 Chrysler Convertible owned by Wayne Davis, and took home the Street Cruiser within the Triple Crown of Rodding. So we were both wrong.. on identifying the 50's cars... not Street Rods..nor Street Machines... but Street Cruisers. .. both of us need to get with the times... Have a great day....
