i love how this grates on the people who want to restore the car to 'concourse' level.... my brain says " !the car is too far gone for anything close to tbat! you'd spend 100 grand or more and still have something the concourse guys call 'A Junk Car' and it would be worth less than half of that fortune you spent. " but Puddin's " MUDcedes " will live on in both Mercedes Snob AND redneck mudding community lore forever. Hello from the PNW! I'm only 52 years of age but I've found it much easier to square up a square body frame, damaged in the front, by slicing the top and bottom of the c-channel. This leaves only the vertical portion to be moved by BFH and welded. Its amazing how far a frame rail moves over distance.

My suggestion for the front is place a winch plate up there. The winch can fill in the space between the frame horns. Then some triangle tubes from bottom of frame horns up to the existing bumper. Very fun cool build!

Hidden winch bumper in the front... relocate the gas tank/fuel cell to the trunk & drop that rear bumper as you mentioned and that'd be an awesome start appearance wise. This thing is AWESOME! My buddy put a later 300d(I think)on a Ford expedition frame, and kept the turbo diesel. I'm currently cutting up a rusty VW rabbit to stick on a S10 blazer 4x4 frame. Was considering a 5.3, but it would require a whole frickin dog house inside and drive from almost the backnseat, or put the radiator in the back hatch area somewhere

Lifted Benz Approved 💯❤️. Maybe just a simple front plate that attached to the two rails to hide underneath at the front. No need to extend the number or hide the wheels. Need to add covering panels in the back wheel arches for a nice clean look. Its the best uses of a truck bed behind Demo Matt’s Cuda Build. get it finished and go do a meet up at Desperado Ranch.
