My parents1st car they bought after getting married was a 57 Vette. they traded it in for a 61 Pontiac Catalina bubble top, 389 with tri-power, 4 speed, 4.11's, with 5 lug wheels. One of my earliest memories is being at a street race on Hall Street in STL with my dad, I was 2-3 years old. Suddenly I saw flashing lights and heard sirens, my dad grabbed me and put me in the back seat and told me to get on the floor, and stay there until he said it was ok to get up. I didn't listen, and as soon as I could look over the top of the back seat, all I saw were red flashing lights, and the sound that 389 winding up. I'm almost 60 now and I really would like to have a Catalina like my parents had.
