I have to say we missed the first start video and went back and watched It. In that video you threw the joke out of “want to be a heart doctor”. Is your old Plymouth a flathead 6 ? My brother figured out that you can put a distributor from a slant 6 in the old flathead. So you can jump forward to said distributor with electric ignition system. Takes the ignition box too.

My father and I used to always work on old cars and trucks all through out my childhood. Thank you for including us in your memories. I lost my father when he was only 59 years old and i really miss our relationship.

My dad had a 1954 Willys Overland 4wd wagon that he bought new. By the mid 80's, the engine was getting tired, and I helped him put a Ford 302 V8 engine in it. Dad retired in 1994 and sold it when he moved to Florida. Last I knew, it's still on the road and doing well.

My dad had a 1953 Willy's Overland wagon. They didn't change the body style from the 50's all the way thru 1964. That said, 1961 Grill is slightly different, also windshield & tailgate glass on 1953 model were two piece split design, other-wise nearly identical. So Yes, this video brought back all kinds of good memories. Because of the longer wheel base of the wagon model, my Dad's Jeep could climb almost anything in 4WD!!!

You just don't see many of those old wagons on the road any more but when you do man do they look sweet. Great video. An the bishop is sounding awesome as well. Best motor ever that's been put in that old Willy. Those 260/289 's are hard to beat. That just keep on running no matter how long they have been setting. Keep on keeping on brother. My Uncle and Cousin use to take me to 1st Grade every morning in one of these, this was 65-66 I remember the smell of paint where they painted the inside one weekend a light gray, I haven't a clue if it was a 4 or 6 but I think it was 4 Wheel Drive I remember all the gear shifts in the floor .

New subscriber, love what you are doing, saving old vehicles and people. I own a 51 Willys wagon, has a locked up hurricane in it. Just bought a 97 Chevy pickup for the 350 and auto transmission. Yours has the front end from the 47 to 49, but the solid windshield is from the late wagons. Was fun to see the smile on your dad's face while he was driving it. Rev, I wish I had old cars like yours. I LOVE wrenching on em. I do have '79 f150, but you know how it goes. Once you have one, you want more. I just can't afford more. Plus I'll be rebuilding the 302 but probably doing a stroker kit. Good Lord what a Ford! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos.
