My Aunt had a 66 Bel Air Wagon. 327 4 Barrel 3 Speed on the column, under dash a/c. Late 60's 3 sisters with their 6 kids in the back quilt on the floor. No carpet when the back seat folded down, we played games, slept, godbid one of us got into trouble brakes would get slammed and all of us scooted on that quilt bounced off the back seat. We did many road trips tailgate was a table for making sandwiches and such. Rear floor had a compartment to put the bar b que grill in and other things. That wagon sure stayed around till the late 70's when it finally just grew tired. The 62 is exactly like the one my parents had same color and everything

I'm very glad to see that you plan to make them both drivers again instead of parts cars especially the awesome wagon, I want a 65 or 66 wagon some day, I had a 65 iimpala wagon in the late 1990s . Sad that too many people didn't think 4 door classics were worthy of keeping alive as with many wagons became 2 dr car parts . I'd rather have a wagon version of I'm impala, chevelle, nova or tri five Belair any day. My 2 door of choice is my 3rd Gen camaro . Great find and can't wait to see them being put back on the road

That wagon is awesome!! I would love to watch a frame swap video, great content. According to the 1965 Chevy brochure, 2-tone paint was available on the Bel Air except convertibles (!!). One of the combos was Ermine White lower with Artesian Turquoise upper. Brochure does not show 2-tone example or where the paint break lines were. Popping off rear window or windshield trim might give a clue as to whether upper was Artesian Turquoise or a later-date repaint blue. Door jambs white so I bet at least the lower was always white. I think the paint code on the data plate would show both paint codes for factory 2-tone. Frame swap!!

I'm a wagon guy. You gotta spend some time and $$$$ on that one. When I was a kid we had a '65 Chevy Bel Air wagon. White with medium blue interior. 327 w/Powerglide. Me and my brothers sleep in the cargo area for many a mile going to and from grandma's house. You could get two tone paint in 65. Blue over white and white over blue were among the many optional paint schemes.

Hi Ryan. Wasn't the story with Lambrecht Chevrolet, that the owner of the dealership took all of those cars in trade for new cars. Then stored them in the field, because he refused to sell used cars? Cool score today. I particularly like the 65 wagon, as I had 2 65 Impalas back in the day. 1 was a bright red 327 2dr and the other was a black 283 4dr, that I bought mainly for the gas tank, but ended up stealing a few more parts off of it. Then sold the good running engine and transmission, for more than I bought the car for. And I think that the 65 was the same color as the 62, until someone painted it (poorly) thanks for the video

I think the wagons were one color. Also a 5.3 L or a 6 l would be great in that wagon! Then turn around and sell me to 327. I got an old 65 Impala wagon used it for parts when I was a kid and my point is this it had the biggest baddest 327 you could get and it was special ordered in that wagon. I took the upper end off and used it on a project. I used the front seat and another project. Be careful those big windows just like to fall in or fall out and bust on the ground. And kind of like the back windows on 68 and 69 chevelles. I'm referring to long windows on the back side of your wagon. Great potentials

That's a shame. Weird that the floors look great , and then frame is toast. Can that be repaired ? I sold a '66 Bonneville conv. to Sweden with a bad frame and they repaired it. It was bad behind the front wheels and where the frame goes up over the axle. Glad you saved the wagon. I love cars that are strippers.

I know my grandparents on mom side one had forgotten order brand new so took back to dealer got one in on my grandma car ! Took 2 weeks do but it got why my grandma wanted radio for hear local radio stations for music , news plus much a stations did for only Am radio stations get at time ! Also bet know this Ryan but GM , Ford , Fargo (Dodge) , Studebaker, Toyota , International trucks some did not come with radio and had order as option or get one in ! My uncle John 1994 Toyota Tacoma T100 truck had antenna on fender plus cables plus no radio or speakers he get aftermarket one radio plus speakers spots were there plus wires no speakers! JVC radio fit in plus had get wire in and got speakers to! The truck was California USA but was trade in for car who own it for first owners and he bought in 2008 in Ontario Canada found was was weird! But first 1994 vechiles never seen that and my late dad also late uncle 1968 International pickup 1 ton pickup truck had no radio in it or plug for for it but had one speaker in dash also antenna so in 1970 got GMC installed plus wire in ran off Key ignition switch in On Postion only !
