Porter Dude here!🤩 Dude, you are having too much FUN, but Keep It Up! 🥰 I’m watching out of sequence, but that’s ok. Yes, I know who Ann Margaret it!! 🤩 A beauty! 🥰 Mice are not good for anything! Make sure you always talk nicely to her. LOL! 🥰 Yeah, you need a spray bottle or two for all that! That red was a nice color on those little cabovers. Hey, I’m not if I’ve said it or not, but …Cabovers Rule, Others Drool! That’s how I feel about it! 🥰 Your engine and cab can breathe again and even shine a bit of her beauty!!! 🤩🇺🇸✌️

EZ Off oven cleaner is the best engine degreaser I've found, better than Gunk or anything else. Spray it on, walk away, hose it off the next morning. The stuff even removes some of the paint.

I used to have a book, published in 1979, by James K. Wagner, called Ford Trucks Since 1908. And it had pics and tech info and options for every style of every model of every year Ford truck in those years. I wish I still had it. I was surprised to learn that the C Series began way back in '56, and continued largely unchanged thru the '80s.

Always liked those cab over ford's,not hard to work on. I worked at a truck shop and two of the companies we had a maintenance agreement with each had a fleet of these,a furniture company and Yellow Freight,most of yellow's tractors had air starters that was fairly load when starting,but deafening when the starter baffle was removed.. I see a nice truck with lots of potential,thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your experience and memories of old cab overs. They are really cool old trucks! I only ever heard an air starter on video, but I can imagine they would be super loud. Love those old cabovers. I'd get some Gunk spray, maybe a couple cans. Start the engine, let it warm up a few minutes, then Gunk it, let it soak a few minutes, then pressure wash it again. I bet it would be pretty clean.

There are outfits all over the country that make hydraulic lines, flexible and solid. Many NAPA stores make hydraulic lines in-house up to a certain size. You can also often order a replacement based on nothing more than length, diameter and fitting type on each end. Also, remember that it pays to shop around. Best wishes! 👍🏻🇺🇸👨🏻🏭 - Max Giganteum

Good to hear! I haven't sourced many parts for this old girl yet. So far I rebuilt the carburetor and purchased a new old stock clutch master cylinder. I'll check them out online for my next parts search. I was a little disappointed at my local Napa stores ability to help 'positively' select three correct engine oil filter. They were doing a Google search ie the same generic tool I have available. Currently I plan to keep the two speed differential. Thanks for watching my friend! Cheers, 👍😁

In my opinion the correct way to clean that eng bay would've been to use a scraper and spend a 5-20 mins to clean up the hugely thick layers and then spray and power wash. But that's just me.

I love the new project truck, good job. Let us know what your plans are for it. If it were up to me I would have to keep it as some type of dump body truck, do a working restoration with some rust protection, fresh paint as needed and call that good. As for a name I’m thinking the name for your new project truck should be named after a famous redhead from about the same time period as the truck. I believe a famous woman like Lucille Ball could lend a name. She was funny, sexy and a little difficult, as is the Ford C-750. I also think a good playful type nick name for the truck could be Lucy750, written as LUC750. There are other Character and names associated with famous redheaded women like Carol Burnett and others to be sure, but I think from watching I Love Lucy as a kid Lucy fits best. There also are quite a few songs referring to redheads, maybe you could also think about picking a video theme song for the project truck. All most every man loves a beautiful funny sexy redheaded woman or a red vehicle. As well if you didn’t know Nov. 5 is National Love Your Red Hair Day.
@FlatThunder3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I like how you think George! I'm going to mull it over decide on a nickname after a redheaded actress. I'm leaning towards Ann Margret. Great idea! Instea of using a commercial degreaser like Superclean just goto the gas station and by plain old diesel fuel. Put it in a pump sprayer and coat everything and soak it all. The diesel soaks right into the build up an washes off fine with the pressure washer. I learned this from an old timer years ago.

@MaxGiganteum2 жыл бұрын
@ Anthony Young I think you may have misinterpreted what that company really meant when you went asking for a freebie or even a sample. For quite a number of years now, a TON of people have been begging for freebies (especially those folks associated with KZbin) from all sorts of companies and quite a number of those companies have gotten not only sick of the beggars but are openly hostile to it! Quite frankly, I cannot blame them either. And it just isn't for one small item that costs little to nothing in cash either, there are so called "KZbinrs" or "social media influencers" that attempt to obtain entire free vacations worth tens of thousands of dollars for nothing more than a mention in one video... which usually isn't even remotely worth the mention. While some advertising people who do that for a living recognize potential value by partnering with a KZbinr because of the number and type of subscribers involved on a channel, the reality is that 99.9% of the time it is NOT worth making a deal. Too many people just beg... and it's pathetic. I myself am completely turned off by channel beggars who blatantly do it in their own videos. Like I said before, it's pathetic. If a company thinks you're worth it, they'll look for your contact info and do it privately. Now I'm not saying that you were necessarily just being a beggar, I am saying that everyone has to put themselves into the shoes of the other guy. If I had my own company, I'd make it clear up front that the company automatically rejects requests for both freebie items or services as well as sponsorship propositions. In other words, don't even ask. The company handles advertising on its own. Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. Peace & good vibes! ✌🏻👍🏻🇺🇸👨🏻🔧 - Max Giganteum
