What great motors Johnson made, I sold a 1962 Johnson 18hp with a 14' aluminum boat. That motor really impressed me; just the sound of it I could tell how sturdy it was with (90 psi both cylinders.) So now I'm looking at a 10hp just like yours (hope the fella takes my price.) Thank you for your time on this video.

Fuckin beauty right there. I'm working on a 1960 qd-21 right now. She has been sitting for 30 years. I've got her to the point I think she will fire up. Wish me luck

I just picked up the twin to your except its a 1961.... Same shape as yours ..it must of stayed in a dry garage for 50 years.....can you let me know the best oil and mix for this outboard...thanks

I just had one given to me today for free. Need to go thru it but not sure where to start. What’s the usual suspect with these? I’ve heard coils usually and I know the lower unit is leaking

I just got this same motor. It needs an impeller. I think I will try changing it myself. Is it a tough job?

No it is very simple. Take out the two screws on the little oval panel on the side of the exhaust housing (mid section) disconnect the shift shaft. The remove the 4 bolts on the lower unit and slide off the lower unit. Them the water pump housing is right on top of the lower unit right next to the drive shaft.
