Great stuff David.. I get the feeling Elin wanted to rebuild the engine when you were preparing the car before, but ran out of time. Looking forward to seeing the 'go faster' bits you chose for it.

You are fueling the fire, Candy Man, lol. Mama always told me Tush is a bad influence on you. Bring the videos on!

David, great to see you again, twice in one day! I see how you overcame your cold garage, you just go to Elin's place to work. I don't have that luxury, as I do not know anywhere there is a heated empty garage to work in. Good luck with this project, I am sure between the two of you it will be like new when you are finished. How nice it must be to have someone who knows as much as you do when pulling out and engine and transmission. I think I know who will be the beer drinker, probably the guy who has "buy me a beer" on his KZbin site

My challenge is putting the engine back in. 😂 Do you plan/recommend performance upgrades - bigger cylinders and pistons (86,87mm), bigger valves, cam, etc.?
@cheftush Жыл бұрын
Hi Craig, yes..bigger pistons/liners, cam already on hand…and some fancy carbs too 😉

Hi Chris, I’m looking forward to the rebuild…I have some parts for it already but I’ll need to order a second batch….probably be a couple of weeks before I start to assemble…it will give me time to clean and paint though…

Looking forward to what you find with the motor and transmission. It sounded pretty good pulling into the shop today.

It will be fun to tear the engine apart…kind of a shame we need to get into the trans though….

You say 4 hrs , Alin says 4 hrs , that makes 8 hrs , right ?
@cheftush Жыл бұрын
2 people 4 hours…1 person 6-8 hours is my guess. Depends on how familiar you are with the car and how fast/slow you work.
