It was so good to see her getting up to cruising speed, I also hear an exhaust leak, but it could be just the muffler. This car will be a fun driver for the show. I think I need several years before my (TR6) gets out on the road.

The tr250 looks great !!! You guys have gotten so much done in a short period of time. It’s still incredible that the engine runs so well. The car tr4 looks good going the road, looks like elin had it going pretty good and the brakes work. 😁 I agree on the wiring going under the shroud. I’m going to have to contract elin to look over my wiring, the car starts with the switch but when I turn it off it keeps running..

This car always did have the wiring harness, connectors, etc. for the headlamps, turn signals, and marker lamps clipped to the bottom of the front valance. There were three or four "S" clips (flat on one loop and curved on the other loop) to clip over the wires and onto the lip between the lower pan and the bottom of the front valance. Those clips should still be there. Later, the TR4A went to that setup of routing the wires over the top of the shroud. Great drive. Hope to see it on the road again - real soon!. BTW that original tube radio does still work but since the car is now negative ground and the tube radio is positive ground, it will not function. But it still looks the part as it was original to the car.

I had an interference issue with the front wheels on my TR4, too. Some slight mods of the ends of the upper control arms solved the problem. I don't recall if I also needed to rearrange or shorten the bolts securing the ball joint. It was great to see the car 'up to speed" on the road, even if only briefly.

Well, for some reason I can't edit my previous comment. Was just going to throw out a comment about the door popping open. Have you tightened up all the body mount bolts? Thinking that if they are loose the body may flex some on bumps and pop the door open. Far fetched maybe, but just an out of the box thought. At the very least, in my experience tightening the body mount bolts has always made a car a little bit 'tighter' and less rattles/squeaks. Cheers

Body mounting bolts are tight. We haven’t really looked at the door yet. We might be able to adjust the catch.

You're building a TR4 ratrod, why does the interior need detailing?

I want the interior to be comfortable and homey…a place where you’d want to actually sit….that’s why I redid the dash and door panels. Also doing new carpet to go with the leather seats that are in excellent condition.
