The front shot reminds me of the 63 Fairlane wagon that I had "back then".

Probably made by the same company, but I bought mine from Dearborn classics about 12 years ago and had it dyed at my local upholstery. Looks factory original and is nicely padded.

I did not know the defroster vents were available. that's great news! Now I can get rid of some of the noises coming from under the dash. Mac's auto has the original style clips for the dash pad. I'm guessing the studs are embedded in the dash pad that you have. But if someone gets a pad without them, the clips are available. I'll be watching your install of the dash pad with great interest. If I ever win the lottery, I plan to get one to replace the one that was removed on my car. I can't find anyone that reproduces the emblem on the door panel. Might have to find one from a parts car. If I had any, I'd send 'em to ya.

Can't wait for you to "dye" the dashpad. I have a black dashpad for a 65 Mustang I need to "dye" Palimino and need tips.

🔔🔔👍 Defoster duct/ nozzle problem. The hose carries a lot of velocity. When the air exits through the rapidly widening duct nozzle, the velocity drops so drastically that defogging is pretty poor. That is the factory way. I found that narrowing the v shaped duct, making it thinner by 1/2 maintains more velocity and enhances defogging significantly. If you are going to do a modern system upgrade, (Vintage Air etc) still pay attention to velocity.

I'm definitely a Gm person, ( my dad raised me that way he was a auto tech for close to 45 years) he hates fords and diesels🤣 he had 55 Ford before he went to GM and never looked back. My parents actually got married in a 64 impala convertible, they had Tennessee marriage license and an Alabama preacher, so they had to cross the state line to make it legal. Saying all that to say this I'm digging that Galaxie. Maybe with a gm running gear? Build ford tough with chevy stuff.👍

Anyone know the dimensions for the defroster hoses?
@AutoRestoMod2 жыл бұрын
I think the hoses are probably the same size as 1965 Mustang. But I would contact Classic Auto Air and see if they can tell you for sure.
