I love the C2s, too. Especially the fuelies, and Mr. Verrillo has one fine and pristine example! Judging from his comments, Corvettes truly are a labor of love for him, and it certainly shows itself here. Thanks, Lou!

Hi TheGunfighter45acp, When you think of yourself ordering a "new bodied" Corvette in 1963, this would have been checking all the performance boxes. My pleasure sharing this "pristine example" with you. You're welcome, Lou

Great piece of Corvette history; I was 10 when I first rode in a Vette, 60 years ago and I remember the whole experience in detail. Thanks to you both.

One could argue that the C2 Corvette was one of the, if not THE, most beautiful cars of all time. There is not one bad angle on these cars. Bill Mitchell and his designers nailed this one. As for this specific car, I am overwhelmed by the attention to detail. Everything is perfect. Love all the documentation and the story behind this gorgeous Corvette. I had the privilege to take a short drive a 67 C2 427 convertible when I was 16. 55 years later and it is still a cherished, vivid memory. Also, kudos to the owner for following his dream and working so hard at his craft, which is clearly a labor of love. Lou, I love so many of your videos, but this one is one of my favorites. Maybe because it brought back such a wonderful memory, or I just so strongly identified with the owner and his passion for these iconic cars. Nevertheless, a great job once again, Lou! Thank you for sharing!

I love all Corvettes. 1963 was a great year. The 1963 split window was a favorite. I still have one a 1995 C-4 and owned 2 C-3’s a 1969 and 1976. Thank you Lou for sharing ❤️

It hurts to think how many Rochester F.I. units ended up in the dumpster back then because people didn't understand them and couldn't get them serviced properly. Hey Lou, if you're going to get chauffeured around MCACN, it might as well be in a '63 Fuelie! Nice video Lou!

Hi Tom (and JudyAnn), I'd guess quite a few F.I. Units ended up in the dumpster, however for those fortunate few that kept them when they were ordered, they're $ in the bank now. Riding in a fuelie is a treat, and only wish the ride was a bit longer :-) Happy to read you enjoy this video, Lou

Hi David, You're right, seeing a 63 Corvette is rare. fuelie makes it rarer, 4 Speed makes it rarerer, and convertible makes it rarerereist :-) My pleasure sharing the rare Corvette with you, Lou
@thud97973 ай бұрын
The convertible always outsold the coupe back then. The 63 coupe got close but the convertible still sold more. Convertibles - 10,919 Coupes - 10,594 The first year the Coupe outsold the Convertible was 1969 and the Coupe was dominant from that point on.

C2 is my favorite. As for me GM should have developed the C2 the way Porsche developed the 911. No reason to ever change C2 design. So now the Vette is indistinguishable from any other supercar.
