1963 Triumph T20 R tiger cub rare british single 200cc motorcycle

Short video on our rare 1963 triumph tiger cub,one of 60 brought to north america . This is a 200 cc dirt bike of the 1960s and produces around 15 hp out of the single cylinder 200cc motor. Check out our other videos on some other british singles.

I used to tune these bikes back in the late 70's for grass track racing and I got about 30 hp @ 10K rpm from them with good reliability, the secret to power was high compression and a modified ignition system

I think I remember them having 15 hp. 30 in that small chassis would really go. Wow

It was a trials 'bike here in the UK. There are plenty over here so you will have no problem getting parts. Check out a channel run by Paul Henshaw on here, he's got plenty of content on a cub trials.

They would be the TR20 and the TS20. Both Trials and scrambler models for 62-65 TR20. 538 built TS20 367 built. Both machines, no headlight, R cam, 7.1 and 9.1 compresion ratio. TR20 had a silencer. TS20 straight pipe with or without extension. All information taken from Tiger cub bible by M Estal the foremost expert on tiger cubs and past president of the Tiger cub registry in the UK.

How many models were available? 55 years back my neighbour had one that was a blast to ride. I would like to find one for the local dirt roads.

I’m not sure. Regular cub. Mountain cub. Tr20. And a few others for sure. Can’t wait to restore this one this winter

I had a print of this exact mode in a binder. Just can’t find it at the moment. I’m no expert but this what I remember reading. This model never had a headlight. Tailight or speedometer. Only a tachometer.
