As a kid I used to hang around Mr. Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge and they never chased us out of the dealership. Imagine that happening at any dealership this day and age. RIP Mr. Norm, thanks for letting this kid dream a bit.

I agree with Doug below. Plus, activity==energy which people can feel, vs. walking into a dead quiet dealership. That solemn experience may be fine if one is going to buy a very expensive Cadillac or exotic, but this was Dodge. Excitement on the track, and in your driveway. Where there is a buzz, there is interest generated. Plus, I am sure. you weren't hurting anything or getting in the way of customers.

My first car was the family's 64 Dodge 330, 4dr, push button automatic with a 318 4brl carb. Soft powder blue paint job. First owner was local County Sheriff, then my folks, then me. Junked it out the summer of '75. It spent most of its life on gravel roads and hip deep in road salt from winter snow and ice that turned it into a rust bucket REAL fast. Never won any races with it in town on the loop but got the sleeper award for it's super fast git up n GO!

@@sergeantmasson3669 I realize their forged line are made in the USA, but these are all modern looking wheels. Their classic looking Torq Thrust wheels are manufactured in China. Kinda sad being as "American" is literally in their name. However, American Rebel Manufacturing is made here in the U.S.A. and they are exact replicas of classic designs, Halibrand Champ, Halibrand Sprint, Halibrand Starburst, etc. They are not cheap but I'll gladly pay for these classis designs and from a company who still makes them here in the U.S.A. 🦅

@peteloomis84568 ай бұрын
No that's the way they were because I knew a guy who had one of these he used to still drag race it & it had the factory push button transmission buttons along with the radio delete & the A12 van seats to loose some weight instead of using the full bench seat . He just died 2 years ago after dealing with covid and lived through that & had to do therapy from being out under on the ventilator for 3 months before he woke up one day & lost the use of his legs because the muscles atrofied and he had to learn how to walk & use his legs again being sent to the Mayo clinic in Barron WI. Once he was walking again he had went in to the hospital for a procedure and his heart stopped & they got his heart going again and proceeded with the surgery and his heart stopped again and he died on the table unfortunately.
