Thin vinyl gloves: the preferred choice when working around razor sharp sheet metal ;) Anyway, that phenomenon that you noticed with the sheet metal layers is called "rustjacking" around here. And it's amazing how much force it can exert. It's pretty common to see it separate and bend dual frame rails on big trucks in my state. Gotta love all the salt they spread on the roads :P

I grabbed one of those Uvex face shields off of your Amazon store. The price is very reasonable considering the cost of other face shields. It's amazing how much can get crammed into the nooks and crannies under a vehicle.

Nice work on those patch panels bud! The trouble with cab supports and floor supports is the company’s that have the 100 ton stamping machine (or bigger!) want a guaranteed run of 100,000 parts or more to make it worth their while. Especially if they have to make the stamping dies or buy them from the manufacturer. If you start talking about rear quarters, hoods, doors, etc. it’s even worse! That’s why the repair sections are so expensive. Glad to see you using and reminding viewers to wear safety glasses and face shields! It’s unbelievable how many videos I’ve watched and no safety gear was used! It’s just too bad you don’t have room in the shop to work on the truck, it sucks you’ve got to do that work out in the driveway!

It's crazy! Crazy I tell ya! You had me laughing with that one. Good video. I really have no idea how rust repairs should be done. The aluminum I work with can't be welded, so steel looks a bit more forgiving in some ways, a pain in the ass in others. Good on you for wearing face protection. I bet the splinters can get bad.

Hi Roady. Much like you, I find it pays to ignore a lot of it and just concentrate on one part. Get that fixed and then do another. After a while you realise there are no more bits that need fixing. Sometimes best to fix the worst part first. I've been hankering over a mid 60s f100. Now I know what to look out for. There's one on UK ebay that has a little square shape in the middle of that vertical panel where you made your cut. Now I can see why. Ok nuffa dis. I'll catch you next time. Mart.

Hi Everett, just looking at you talking about the cab mounts, Reminded me of the work Brent of "Halfass Kustoms" KZbin channel on his sons truck, Brent is a genius at building old vehicles and I can't recommend him highly enough if you want to see a single man put a vehicle together in a no nonsense matter on his own. His most recent truck was the General...... Anyway I hope you find time to check his channel out You won't be disappointed. Tony from Western Australia 🇦🇺
