Just below the crack in at the knee you have a large rivet running though...i would have tried tapping the rivet with a hammer (not too hard) this might have pulled the crack closed tight, and also tightened up the peg, so it wouldn't be so loose. Just a thought. ;-)

Hi when I use glue on the cracks i also use Backing Powder ,sprinkle some in then the supper Glue then more Backing Power then more Glue clamp if need be, if Gluing anything that has a post file then down so they just push back in without splitting the new mend. Hope this helps. Lee.

If you have to replace the thigh bars on a GI Joe how do you flatten the end of the bar? DO you just gentle tap it with a hammer to flatten it?

Great video! But, how and what did you use to cut the metal eyelets to get them off the thigh bar?

Did the talker legs you bought have a brand? I ended up buying cotswold thighs and they didn't match, both in shape and color:[

How do you get a broken vintage hand out of the forearm? I have a replacement hand with a post. But for the life of me, I can’t pull the other hand out.

I can think of a couple of ways, one is to drill a hole in the peg, insert a screw and then put it out, or you might have a chance at popping it out from the other side by inserting a dowel or stick in to pop it out.

Have you ever replaced a broken foot in a GIJOE? I have the new foot but the part of broken post is still in the leg. How can i get it out?
@davegink9222
@davegink9222 9 ай бұрын
I had that problem with a broken hand post. I ended up taking a small diameter drill bit and drilling the middle of post. Then subsequently using a slightly larger bit until it broke out. It worked for me, but use this method at your own risk. 😉 If anyone has a better solution, I’d love to hear it also.

You don't have to remove the thigh pin. You can cut the metal loop or termanal connector, bend it enough to fit pin through it. Once you hook it around the pin just bend metal loop back and it holds. I've connected cotswold restring kits like that.

What do you guys use to cut the metal on the steel thing that goes around the thigh bars? Its easier to do the hooks, but i tried cutting that metal and its really hard. You have to get whatever your using close to the bar and not much space to work in,

Definitely very curious to see the process used to remove the metal bits surrounding the metal bars in the thighs. Also the current version of those kits are not as good. The neck is still awful, but now the hooks in the legs are as garbage and incredibly small

Great video. I just purchased a replacement arm from Cotswald collectibles how could I replace and remove that rivet and replace the plastic cup hinge without to much damage
@TheSkullReviews
@TheSkullReviews 5 жыл бұрын
I have not done that yet but you would need to drill out the old rivet, should be easy enough but just be careful when using power equipment.
